Living Sacrifice Ministries has gone through many stages of evolution in its eight years. Beginning as a ministry that was designed to be primarily one of writing and recording Christian messages to help inspire people to live better Christian lives and to re-examine where they stood in their walks with God, the theme was, as the name implied, "Living Sacrificially". In other words, living in such a way that one would give of himself or herself to the point that it may hurt a bit. Does it take up some extra time, money, effort, or other things that may have been set aside for yourself? Did you give up leisure time to help a friend? Did you do some sort of labor to help someone and not get paid? Did you give extra money to a charity above what you thought you could afford? These are some examples of personal "sacrifices".
When the ministry was very young, I had barely posted anything and immediately, a number of ministries and churches in developing nations contacted me about the works I had written. They were interested in being a part of it. Not surprising, the churches themselves were, for the most part, living very much as I would have wanted to see other people! Pastors were also working farms and giving excess to people who could not afford it; others were taking in orphans and widows; Some worked without salaries.
Within several years, what had started out as a few "Ministry Partners" was now over one hundred. Sadly, however, the work became too much for me to handle myself and even more sadly, a growing number of churches joining the ranks began to ask for things other than what we had set out to do.
As a result, I was inclined several months ago to close down the operation of the ministry for good. Since Living Sacrifice Ministries was never established as an official business or 501(c)(3) organization, there was no need to officially take this to a board of directors or governing body of any kind. However, deep down I felt empty. It wasn't until my wife, Myra, as recently as this week, suggested that I revisit the ministry with a different approach. After praying about it, I have decided to breathe new life into it with the original design for which it was originally intended; Christian teaching through written and video messages. I will make these available to anyone wishing to read or watch them and give all permission to anyone to copy and distribute them as much as they wish for the purpose of spreading the Word of God.
Please feel free to contact me at any time regarding these at [email protected] I also encourage you to visit our blog on Wordpress and visit our YouTube channel.
